Music for Brightlights 2010
Here is some information on the bands who are playing at the 2010 festival:
SOUNDS OF SALVATION By now this band are Brightlights veteran entertaining us over the last couple of years. Sounds of Salvation are an energetic 10 piece Christian Ska/rock worship band. With a 5 piece brass section and operating under the motto "When we skank, God skanks with us" Sounds of Salvation are anything but dull, offering up vibrant worship to God that makes use of the whole body. Using ska'd up versions of old Christian classics and imaginative material of their own, Sounds of salvation are something everyone can join in with, so why not come and skank along with God to the Sounds of Salvation?
DANIEL SHEILLS Daniel started playing the guitar in his teens and soon found himself leading worship at his church – Jubilee Christian Fellowship. He formed a band with his mates – Second Mile – who played at local youth services, events and in cafes. After the others disappeared off to uni Daniel worked on his solo material. His music draws on a whole range of styles and artists incorporating jazz, rock and pop, but is dominated by rhythmic acoustic guitar. Daniel has played at a range of youth events and services Awakening Hemel, Quench Hemel, Soul Exeter, as well as at H3 festival in Milton Keynes and New Dawn festival in Walsingham. When Dan is not singing and playing guitar he is a cameraman and video editor. In April 2008 he recorded his solo album (A taste of things to come) with the help of Tre Sheppard and the other One Hundred Hours guys.
