ADAM and CARLY

RETURNING to Bright Lights after
playing a fantastic set last year, talented
St Albans Vineyard musicians Adam Dickens and Carly Orpen regularly lead
worship at the church, are also members of The Burn Band and are often seen
playing the local venues of St Albans. Outstanding on keyboards, saxophones
and squeezebox, versatile Adam graduated from University of Westminster with
a first-class honours degree in commercial music.
He features on several worldwide Vineyard albums, including best-selling
Beautiful and more recently, All From You, which showcases Carly’s debut
published track, How Could I Live Without You.
Worship leader Carly is a charismatic singer/songwriter and guitarist with a
unique ability to craft stunning originals with memorable melodies, soulful
harmonies and meaningful lyrics.
Carly’s diverse vocal style – reminiscent of Kate Rusby and Beth Orton -
lends itself equally to poignant acoustic folk-infused pop and more edge-y
rhythmic rock.
As part of The Burn Band, Adam and Carly performed at Soul Survivor,
Greenbelt and Passion 07 and were filmed for a Christian TV Show.
Carly is currently recording her own album and has produced a 13-track CD of
female musicians to raise money for women fleeing from domestic violence.
